SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Maintenance Technician II (MT3) performs a variety of tasks, using judgment, experience, and specific training in maintaining and repairing manufacturing machinery, tooling, and associated support equipment used to produce, inspect and sterilize products. This is the mid-level technician position in Manufacturing Syneture


* Inspects and repairs production and support equipment, using mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum technologies

* Assists in troubleshooting equipment failures and repairs or modifies equipment to improve performance

* Assists other technicians as directed

* Works from prints and sketches to assist in layout work, parts fabrication and assembly for in-house designed equipment, and works to specifications

* Carries out preventive and predictive maintenance per established schedules

* Inspects and maintains tools and special equipment; assists in purchasing replacement parts

* Uses hand, powered, and precision shop and test equipment and instruments to help ensure continuous production operations

* Observes standard and prescribed safety and good maintenance procedures, and applies good housekeeping practices in work areas at all times


* Detail oriented, established learner, able to retain and apply complex technical information

* Ability to follow departmental and safety procedures

* Must have well-developed electro-mechanical skills

* Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, in the English language

* Ability to lift considerable weight on an occasional basis

* Ability to safely use general maintenance hand tools and special equipment as required


* High School Degree or equivalent / One year technical college or equivalent.

* Ability to read, write and understand the English language(bi-lingual a plus).
