Account Associate

Job Description Summary

Entry-level position for account management in Corporate Occupier and Investor Services where the employee gains the experience necessary to progress to the senior account associate position .Under direct supervision, the account associate provides support for transaction management, the strategic planning process and the delivery of other services as needed by the client.Assists in the development of written and oral reports and presentations, development of standard forms and preparing financial analyses.

Job Description



* Document preparation, updating and distribution o Facilitate client meetings

* Provide administrative support to the account team

* Assist in the development of draft analyses, presentation materials and communications o Uses telephone in performance of day-to-day responsibilities

* Travels from floor to floor and/or between offices/locations to attend meetings/seminars and other related events

* Uses calculator and personal computer in performance of day-to-day responsibilities

* Performs other office functions as necessary and applicable which may include, but are not limited to, photocopying, faxing and transporting and retrieving files and other relevant documentation

* Performs other duties as requested by Branch Management, Accountant Management, Direct Supervisor and/or National CIS Manager

Process Management:

* Development of standard forms and procedures

Transaction Management:

* Transaction management tasks

* Prepares project and status reports

* Follow-up with project team members

* Follow up with brokers assigned to current projects

* Review all materials submitted by brokers for accuracy and compliance

* Ensure accuracy of client submittals

* Prepare project schedules

* Financial analysis using ProCalc or Excel

Portfolio Administration:

* Perform lease administration tasks as assigned

* Maintain working and central property files

* Reviews first draft of lease abstracts for accuracy

* Performs desk audits

* Evaluate invoices for compliance to lease terms

* Log and sort invoices

* Reviews and ensures accuracy of data in clients' property management systems

Strategic Planning:

* Under limited supervision, prepare reports, data and financial analyses toward the completion of a strategic plan

Business Development:

* Performs business development duties as requested by Branch Management, Account Team Management and/or National CIS Manager

* Researches industries and corporations when required for benchmarking or business development o Special projects as defined by account team members, ie commission analysis, project reporting, portfolio review etc


* Bachelors degree

* 0-2 Years of real estate experience

* Good oral and written communication skills

* Familiarity with financial concepts

* Computer: Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including ability to perform Internet based research

* Good interpersonal skills

* Good organizational abilities

* Detail and team oriented

Physical Requirements

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to travel from floor to floor and may be required to travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions

* The employee may also be regularly required to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time

* Regularly use hands to operate office machinery including, but not limited to, telephones, computers, fax, and photocopy machines

* Regularly required to walk, talk, and hear
