SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Effectively utilize skills and experience in Planning, Purchasing, Negotiating, Production Scheduling and Project Management to meet the goals of the Materials Group, Focus Factory and Company.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Responsible for planning, buying and scheduling of production related needs and materials through the production system to meet company objectives.

* Understand and execute the Policies & Procedures of the company in satisfying the day to day requirements of planning, procurement and production scheduling.

* Utilize Lean & Six Sigma tools within areas of responsibility to meet Department and Company objectives.

* Work in and promote a team environment, including participation on cross-functional problem-solving and Continuous Improvement teams.

* Anticipate issues, coordinate activities and follow up with Production, Warehouse, Quality and Engineering personnel to ensure timely movement and availability of materials/services.

* Aggressively seek out cost reduction opportunities within product lines of direct responsibility, including fully supporting all Plant and Corporate cost reduction projects.

* Employ fundamental knowledge of contract management to ensure material availability and achieve pricing goals.

* Manage Supplier relationships and development for components directly related to product responsibilities.

* Identify and lead process improvement projects internally and at supplier base.

* Lead other projects as assigned by Department management

* Provide guidance and assistance to junior members of the department as requested by Department management.

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Continue to develop skills through additional training and educational programs

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

* B.S Business or Equivalent

* APICS Certification Preferred. CPM certification a plus

* ERP system experience. BPCS knowledge a plus.

* General computer and software skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)

* Proven track record of Organizational and Project Management skills

* Medical Products Experience a plus
