An experienced Registered Nurse (RN) is actively being sought for an excellent opportunity as a House Supervisor with a healthcare facility in Westchester County. In this role, the House Supervisor will provide safe, appropriate and goal-directed care, as well as support and direction for the nursing staff. Job Description

The House Supervisor:

* Provides staff with supervision, support and guidance necessary to implement nursing theory and practice and provide safe, appropriate goal directed care

* Performs clinical evaluation for the physician on site and reports clinical findings for medical decisions

* Guides and supervises the nursing staff in the delivery of nursing care

* Participates in programs designed for in-service education, on-the-job training and, as requested, orientation classes for newly assigned personnel and completes mandatory in-service annually

* Obtains approval for purchasing major equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures

* Ensures that a stock level of supplies, equipment, etc., is maintained at adequate levels

* Completes performance assessments in a timely and objective manner

* Develops budget for department.

* Performs other tasks as necessary

Required Skills


* 2+ years of pediatric experience

* 3+ years of supervisory experience

* NYS RN license

* Patient oriented

* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

* Strong attention to detail

* Highly organized

* Able to multitask efficiently and effectively $

Desired Skills

* Experience in pediatric and adolescent chronic and restorative nursing modalities
