The BASF Formulation Research group is looking for a highly motivated individual with a PhD in polymer or organic chemistry to join our Formulation Research group located in Tarrytown, NY. Polymer Specialist III () - Tarrytown, NY Day-to-day activities involve optimizing polymer and coating systems for industrial related applications. You will work on highly motivated project teams with defined targets and milestones. This position will also require close interaction with different BASF research groups and businesses on a global level. Formula for Success: You Will??? Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You??? Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or Polymer Chemistry is required. Prior industrial experience and project management experience is preferred Hands-on experience in the development, characterization, and optimization of polymer systems and coatings for industrial applications Knowledge of polymer structure-property relationships Strong analytical skills interpreting data and results with ability to plan next steps based on results Capable of working in a team environment utilizing shared resources under challenging time limits Understand and respect the importance of IP BASFRS
