Research Associate, Commercial Real Estate

JOB PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE:

The Research Associate working in the Inventory Analysis department is responsible for locating and tracking property level data across the country in multiple different property types throughout various metropolitan areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Locate commercial real estate properties that meet company-defined criteria for publication via the internet

* Work with municipalities utilizing public records and other open data sources

* Validate information by cross referencing data on multiple sources

* Enter information into a proprietary database

* Monitor coverage of commercial real estate inventory on a metropolitan basis

* Identify and track new sources of research and information

* Reconcile data discrepancies and inconsistencies

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

* Effective verbal and written communication skills

* Proven research skills with web-based resources

* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

* Strong analytical skills

* Proficient in MS Excel

* Capable of performing PC based commands

* Familiarity with database concepts

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

* Preferred education requirement: Bachelor's degree and research experience in coursework, and/or internships

* Entry level candidates are encouraged to apply, 1-2 years of work experience in a research position where both interpersonal and research/analytical skills are utilized is preferred

* Knowledge of commercial real estate fundamentals desired
