Position Description: The Assistant Leader of Retail Operations will collaborate with the Leader of Retail Operations in supporting the day-to-day operational processes of EILEEN FISHER US and global Retail Stores, Company Stores and E-Commerce businesses. The Assistant Leader will be a key contact with cross functional teams to identify, develop and implement procedures to achieve operational efficiency. The Assistant Leader will work in partnership with the Retail Operations Team to lead and support an Omni-channel customer experience by assessing the needs of the business and store teams from a holistic perspective.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

* Be the primary contact on addressing and supporting day-to-day front of house operational needs for all store teams, District Leaders and Training Leaders. Facilitate resolution of issues that directly impact the efficient operations of stores.

* Work with District Leaders, Training Managers and Store Leaders to continuously evaluate and identify needs of stores and to improve processes and procedures that ensure an omni-experience.

* Prepare communications for store teams, internal teams and external partners on various topics related to day-to-day store operations; communicate via company intranet, email and WebEx.

* Be the advocate, voice of stores and subject matter expert when participating in meetings with other teams and outside vendors on discussions that impact operational processes and customer experience in stores.

* Team with IT and key partners to troubleshoot issues and work together to explore solutions; this encompasses all retail front-of-house processes, ie IT applications, register discrepancies, etc.

* Liaise with IT on technology initiatives, roll outs, implementation, communication and day-to-day issues.

* Perform user acceptance testing on all front-of-house applications and new releases.

* Ensure that retail leaders and store teams have a clear understanding of current and future processes and procedures that affect front-of-house functions. Collaborate with District Leaders and outside resources to strategize tactics for training. Manage the creation of training tools.

* Collaborate and lead cross functional teams to formulate and implement new practices and procedures to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

* Spend time in stores to work with store teams, Training Managers and retail leadership to identify opportunities for improved retail store education.

* Create reports and evaluation tools to monitor and maintain store teams' compliance on practices and procedures.

* Partner with Co-Assistant Leader of Retail Operations to ensure that front-of-house and back-of-house processes are aligned.

* Possess basic understanding of back-of-house processes and procedures to be able to look after day-to-day operations when the other co-Assistant Leader is out of office.

* Work on special projects and related duties as required.

Required Experience

Required Experience: 5+ year experience in store operations including front-of-house and back-of-house process and management expertise, experience with leading and managing training programs and adult learning, UAT experience that includes POS and inventory management systems

Education: College Degree or Equivalent Preferred

Proficiency in EILEEN FISHER point of sale systems or industry equivalent a plus
