The North America (NORAM) Manufacturing Corporate Sr. Manager will primarily be a Corporate Controller of 7 manufacturing Plants across NORAM (Dannon, Stonyfield and Danone Canada) integrated into Danone's NORAM Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and a Co-Pilot mainly to the NORAM VP of Manufacturing. The Manufacturing Finance Sr. Manager is responsible for strong financial stewardship for the plant network to drive execution of the business plan, drive change, improve financial and operating performance, develop business cases, and analyze business opportunities, while providing executive level financial focus, accounting, and controls oversight within the plant network. An aptitude to manage high-level relationships, prioritize multiple workstreams, and synthesize complex topics will be keys for success.

Key responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to P&L accountability, Reporting, Financial Planning, Financial Internal Controls, Financial Copiloting:

• Leads, coordinates and consolidates the manufacturing financial reporting and analysis of the 7 Plants: month-end closings, monthly rolling forecast, cost savings programs, working capital management and other related initiatives / activities.

• Close alignment in running, and leading process for, plant reviews, weekly performance reviews and integrate into Danone overall cost of goods sold (COGS) equation.

• Provides executive support and presentation on results and forecast to Finance and Operations top-leadership.

• Lead development and continuous improvement of processes, capabilities and BI tools to leverage business and financial reporting structure to drive efficiencies, visibility and results to support both corporate and business activities.

• Drive statistical process control mindset in driving cost and related drivers to keep network focused on key leverage points to drive cost and productivity.

• Liaison between Plants and other functions such as Corporate Finance, Industrial and Supply Planning, Engineering, Purchasing, etc...

• Provide executive level financial focus, accounting, and controls oversight within Manufacturing by animating and leading Internal Controls. Effectively collaborate with the Internal Control and Accounting Teams, including Policies updates.

• Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards. Ensure records systems are maintained in accordance with Danone Standards. Areas of particular focus include: inventory and spares, fixed assets, receiving, month-end closing procedures.

• Leads the development and execution of plans necessary to achieve high results during internal audits.

• Partner with Operations leadership team to co-pilot, build and set out the strategic direction and key business priorities.

• Serve as a key participant/principal thinker in charting and implementing the Manufacturing strategic and financial plans. In concert with the VP of Manufacturing, act as a catalyst for the initiatives, programs and activities necessary to achieve the performance objectives for Manufacturing.

• Actively participate in the on-going NORAM Manufacturing Network optimization and its Fixed Assets implications as well as Plants recommendations on expenditures and capital investment.

• Manages directly one Manufacturing Finance analyst.

• Travel periodically throughout NORAM Plant Network.


• BA/BS degree in Finance or Accounting.

• MBA or other advanced degree a plus.

• 10+ years of related professional Finance experience, preferably including some experience in Operations Finance in a large manufacturing environment.

• Prior team management experience preferred.

• Broad Finance /Accounting experience with exposure to a wide range of business functions and demonstrated leadership.

• Proficient in MS Office with advanced proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint.

• Proficient in large, automated financial systems such as SAP, Essbase.

• Demonstrated expertise with financial modeling.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.

• Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers at senior level.

• Strong analytical skills as well as organizational skills.

• Ability to take calculated risks and make risk/return recommendations.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.

• Must be team-oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.
