Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Chef Kitchen Manager at the Double Tree by Hilton Hartford Bradley Int'l airport north of Hartford, CT! The Chef Kitchen Manager is a hands-on, working chef position and is responsible for managing and directing all aspects of the Hotel's culinary operations including: effectively leading and motivating associates, departmental training/development, forecasting, purchasing, budgeting, scheduling, cleanliness and sanitation, coordinating with sales to determine future business and workload needs, and strict adherence to all Hilton and AFP management standards. This position reports directly to the Food and Beverage Director dotted line to the General Manager. Must be accountable for the overall success of the daily kitchen operations. Must ensure the delivery of a excellence through high pace production in quality and quantity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all food preparation areas of banquets, restaurant, bar, and employee cafeteria. You will also establish balanced schedule and food cost to meet our budgeted goals.Additional responsibilities:Ensuring that property policies are administered fairly and consistentlySupervising and coordinating activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparationInteracting with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.Respond to all food related guest complaints and compliments in person.Participate in the budget process for labor, food cost, kitchen equipment, restaurant and banquet needs.Ensuring disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed according to Standard and Local Operating Procedures and SOP. Requirements: Requirements for the Chef Kitchen Manager include:High school diploma, college degree, Culinary education or equal minimum 5 years experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area.Must be a safe serve and strong knowledge in clean and sanitary environment.Must be able to display leadership in guest hospitalityExcellent customer service skillsAbility to create a positive guest and associates experience.You must be able to pass a thorough background check as well as be drug free.
