Job Description:

RLD Associates, Inc., is a leading service company to the insurance industry, providing premium audit services to commercial insurance carriers with auditors throughout the eastern United States. We aim high to satisfy the premium audit needs of insurance carriers. We recognize that our professional staff is the key component to this success. The purpose of a premium audit is to review accounting records and conduct a thorough interview to validate the assignment of the insured's risk classification and the associated premium. This opening is for a part-time home-based position as a field auditor. The territory would include Hartford, CT and the surrounding area. Travel will include a radius of up to 75 miles from the center of the territory. Travel should be anticipated 3 to 5 days per week. A reliable vehicle is required. Overnight stays are not a requirement of this position. Duties: -Review audit requests -Prioritize inventory and schedule workload -Make contact to the named insured to schedule an audit appointment -Travel to appointment location -Conduct on-site interviews and review of accounting records including payroll records, employment tax reports, general ledgers and check registers -Research of appropriate manual rules and classifications -Prepare written audit reports to show analyzed data, calculations, and classifications Job Requirements: -Capable of working independently -Being self-motivated -Possess a pleasant personality -Must be dependable -Excellent communication skills -Strong analytical and critical thinking skills -Two-year degree in accounting or related subject is preferred (experience in bookkeeping and payroll preparation will be weighted heavily) -Computer literate including use of Microsoft programs and scheduling applications -Reliable transportation -Compatible laptop with Microsoft Excel Benefits: -Pay is competitive to the industry -Eligible full-time auditors will receive a benefits package to include health, dental and vision insurance, long-term disability, paid time off, paid holidays and expense reimbursement RLD Associates, Inc., is an equal opportunity employer.
