Job Description:

iSphere is seeking a Scrum Master for a 6+ month opportunity in Hartford. Our chosen candidate will be our clients Sr. Project Manager/ Scrum Master, you will focus on supporting the Enterprise Legal Management software teams working on new features as well as maintenance and upgrades to existing functionality. You will also assist with managing releases.Strong candidates will have excellent project management and Scrum/ Agile experience with an ability to apply each methodology and its processes, appropriately driving projects to positive completion. The primary responsibility is to manage software development teams throughout the entire software development project lifecycle, including facilitating the planning, construction, testing, and deployment phases. Using Agile best practices, the Scrum Master must work with the team and stakeholders to ensure projects meet the requirements and are delivered with quality in a timely manner. The successful candidate must be able to build credibility, trust, and rapport with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Scrum Masters must be comfortable with uncertainty and able to provide a logical plan to achieve clarity. In addition, as a member of the project management team, the Scrum Master participates in process improvement activities, including generating new processes, monitoring/auditing existing processes, and reporting.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:• Lead projects with development teams of internal/external developers, testers, analysts, and product managers using Agile/Scrum• Coordinate deployment of releases to clients with internal business areas ensuring:• Development and testing are completed on time• Updated documentation, training, client support, and client communications are in place• Identify any issues and risks for the team and project, and manage any open issue or risk to resolution• Report sprint and release status and participate in status meetings• Ensure all artifacts are accurate and documents clearly define the scope and status, and receive stakeholder approval• Prepare timely, clear, and concise periodic reports and presentations for management• Maintain a strategic focus on the deliverables, including frequent interaction with the business area to ensure a balance between the immediate project needs and the long-term goals of the company• Promote process change where the existing process may not reflect best practices or may be deficient in providing the organization with adequate controls and direction• Advocate the Scrum process in all aspects of your work, assisting our company in the transition from Waterfall to Agile/Scrum in execution of deliverables Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related technical field• In lieu of a degree, 8 years of relevant experience is required• A minimum 5 years of experience in project/program management that includes:• Building and managing project/release plans, managing risk, scheduling, estimating, and resource planning• Managing projects using an iterative methodology such as Agile or Scrum• A minimum of 2 years of experience with Agile development practices• A minimum 3 years of experience in a software development environment including solid functional knowledge of software development processes• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a lead/management rolePreferred Qualifications: (Includes Minimum)• Scrum Master Certification• Experience managing 3rd party vendors and associated deliverables• Experience managing geographically-dispersed teams/ working with offshore project teams• Experience working with MS Project, SharePoint, and TFS/Visual Studio• Possess a proven track record of success in leading projects involving multidisciplinary teams and requiring extensive collaboration skillsBenefits are offered for this position!Find out why now is a great time to join the iSphere Team of Consultants!Be Seen First With iSphere!
