Job Description:

DISCLAIMER : Due to the nature of work, candidates must be US Citizen Essential Job Functions: • Lead a multi-disciplinary team in identifying and resolving technical issues pertaining to aero engine hardware • Define and status L2/L3 schedule supporting hardware design, development, delivery & certification. • Assess and mitigate risks to the success of the project during execution • Manage the team's budget and earned value based on the L2 schedule • Find opportunities to improve schedule and reduce operational costs • Ensure development hardware and test instrumentation plans are available on time to meet the component or system Validation Plan. • Ensure team will meet all program requirements • Identify and lead investigations into hardware failures and analyze improvements • Lead part level product reviews and provide IPT input to program product reviews • Mentor a team of QuEST engineers in the IPT process by proactively engaging team members and developing processes, tools and best practices • Lead the development, integration and documentation of technical requirements for engine sub-system design • Assist in identifying opportunities for improvement and take ownership for implementation • Communicate both orally and in writing to internal and external customers, especially the status and schedule requirements of working tasks; strong verbal, written and presentation skills are necessary • Interact with internal and external customers, stakeholders, and team members • Collaborate with resource managers internally and externally to staff projects • Follow customer engineering standard work • Participate in engineering reviews (for your work and others) and provided feedback for acceptance and / or improvements areas • Develop innovative ideas to improve cost on customer products / parts (redesign / process improvements) • Work in a fast-paced, team environment to meet quick deadlines • Support recruitment initiatives such as interviews and onboarding • Drive project planning of new and existing tasks (cost, schedule, and scope) oResource plan and assessment o L1 / L2 / L3 Schedule development of Define engineering standard work plan and tailor for each individual task • Develop internal processes and procedures based on best practices and lessons learned Secondary Job Functions: At QuEST, we often challenge our team members to temporarily work outside the scope of their primary job functions to broaden their skills and help the organization. Some of these roles and opportunities include: • Execution within multiple services • Project Management: Execution and Support • Technical Leadership and Technical Reviews • Develop work instructions to ensure repeatability • Personnel Management • Onboarding and Professional Development: collaborate and mentor QuEST Team Members • Cross-functional teams • Geographic re-assignments • Account Management and Sales • Enabler roles, such as Human Resources, Technology Development, and IT • Quality Management and Continuous Improvement Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in a project engineering or project management role with direct involvement in the Integrated Product Team process - preferably with UTC • BS or higher in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent technical or professional experience • Project & program management experience including planning, finances, tracking, and reporting required • Exposure in the Aero industry is preferred • Familiarity with aero engines and/or industrial gas and power turbines preferred • Understanding of Materials and Manufacturing processes used in aerospace components • Ability to represent QuEST during interaction with suppliers / vendors • Ability to manage the customers' perceptions and showcase QuEST's achievements • Experience in technical writing and conducting formal presentations • Proficiency with MS-Office Suite tools and creation of PowerPoint documents Personal Work Attributes • Familiarity or interest with the Aero industry preferred • Self-motivated, disciplined, passionate, and organized • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Able to manage difficult / ambiguous situations and make decisions • Great multi-tasking skills • Great interpersonal and networking skills Core Value Alignment: Customer Focus: Strive to exceed our customers' expectations each and every time Teamwork: Draw strength from teamwork / collaboration irrespective of geographical, organizational, and cultural boundaries.
