Food Service Lead-New BritainCity:New BritianState:ConnecticutRequirements/Qualifications (Education):• Culinary degree preferred• High school graduate or equivalent.• Minimum 3-5 years of cooking and management experience required.• Serve Safe Certified• Excellent Computer skills• Escellent communication skills• Ability to speak and read English• Extensive physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling.• Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment.Job Description:Operate a first-class operation by implementing Whitsons' high standards in all facets of the operation.• Conduct exhibition cooking when scheduled.• Be a presence in the District- know your clients and always follow up• Control all expense categories such as food cost, labor costs and paper costsAssume a leadership roll in a helpful, positive manner.• Design, set up, implement and post an effective cleaning schedule as well as using temp logs for all coolers. .• All documentation to be done on a daily basis.• Read, memorize and implement all company policies.• Make accurate, timely deposits.• Realize that you are part of management and that you should conduct yourself in that manner• Conduct or oversee line school prior to beginning service.• Maintain dress code. 715e68961fca4dd29b9dbbaf2
