Lockton is currently hiring for an Account Manager in Hartford, CT. As an Account Manager , you'll be helping lead a dynamic client-facing team. The Account Manager will be responsible for the servicing and marketing needs of Lockton's clients under the supervision of the Unit Manager and in accordance with company procedures. Duties to include: Meet with clients and underwriters alone or in conjunction with the Unit Manager and the Account Executive(s). Conduct marketing as assigned by the Unit Manager and the Account Executive(s). Audits quotes, binders, and endorsements and makes requests for changes as needed. Negotiates with carriers in conjunction with senior staff. Manages the renewal process with the guidance of the Unit Manager. Develop a strong knowledge of Lockton services in order to coordinate service team/s to address client's objectives. Develop and coordinate the execution of renewal timelines. New business and renewal presentations (oral and written). Gather and analyze exposure and loss information. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business-related field; or equivalent education and/or work experience. Minimum of 3 years experience with commercial property and casualty coverages required. Current property and casualty insurance license or the ability to obtain immediately. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Strong knowledge of technology and initiative to propose innovative advancements in Unit processes. Demonstrated presentation skills including preparation and execution. Ability to work successfully in a deadline driven environment. Strong project management and organizational skills. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to develop sound relationships with multiple clients. Ability to effectively interact with underwriters and clients. Attendance at carrier and client social functions to build network of relationships. Ability to travel out of town, including overnight as needed.
