**Go By Title:** O&R Inspector B

**Job Description:** Consistently and accurately inspect the Operation Department's work on components undergoing repair or overhaul for completeness and compliance to technical data.

+ Work under the supervision of a Quality Leadperson and Inspector A personnel.

+ Must be willing & able to take direction from Leadsperson in their functional job area.

+ Perform the following inspection tasks on components listed on training Competency Sheet:

+ Evaluation Inspection

+ Final Inspection

+ Perform the following inspection tasks as assigned on all components worked in the facility:

+ Receiving Inspections

+ Preliminary Inspections

+ In-Process Inspections

+ Use precision measuring instruments and gages such as feeler gages, dial indicators, micrometers, calipers, etc.

+ Evaluate the repair work performed within our facility or sent to outside sources for completeness and compliance to technical data.

+ Follow procedures found in component maintenance manuals, service bulletins, ORI's, OREI's, drawings, check sheets, etc.

+ Review and interpret related paperwork to ensure proper identification of parts, operational sequence and recorded information on appropriate documentation.

+ Interpret documentation received with incoming cores to determine adequate traceability and history.

+ Research compliance requirements of components in work using AD's, ASB's, and other technical data.

+ Must know how to locate and use technical data such as operation sheets, manuals, ASB's, ORI's, OREI's and blueprints.

+ Must be competent in the use of torque wrenches and have a complete understanding of SAC torque specification SS9300.

+ Filing and archiving of records

+ Adhere to all EH&S requirements, FAA & EASA regulations, company rules, policies, procedures and corporate initiatives.

+ Tag and report to TPM Manager any equipment that is unsafe or requires maintenance.

+ Segregate hazardous waste material and follow good housekeeping practices.

Work occasional overtime as required to support business requirements.

Minimum of 3 years in an aviation mechanic's role. Prior Quality Inspector experience desirable.

Equivalent 4 years of high school or trade school. A&P, Airframe License or Repairman's Certificate is required. Requires a well-rounded knowledge of shop mathematics and the interpretation of manuals, operation sheets, specifications and other technical data. Use a variety of measuring tools including micrometers, dial indicators, etc.
