  • Accurately process tasks to meet all deadlines as required or as assigned by management.
  • Supervise the daily activities of Deposit Operations Specialists by effectively managing and distributing the workflow.  Ensure all transactions are compliant and within Scient’s policies and procedures.  Approve transactions and exceptions within defined authority levels.  Areas of the Deposit Operations include but are not limited to: Debit Cards, ATM processing, ACH and share drafts, electronic services (home banking, bill pay, remote deposit capture) and administrative tasks related to member support.  
  • Act as the principal liaison to the Contact Center to review, research and/or resolve any member issues related to functions within the Operations Department.
  • Ensure compliance of internal procedures, and that they are being adhered to within established guidelines at all times.
  • Be a role model to Operations staff by projecting and maintaining a professional and courteous manner.  Foster a team environment by working together to complete daily tasks and accomplish goals.
  • Resolve member issues and/or complaints through actively listening and asking questions to determine the member’s desired outcome.  Follow up with the member and staff through to completion to ensure the member is highly satisfied.  Serve as an escalation point for Deposit Operations staff.
  • Act as a Deposit Operations Specialist when needed.
  • Advocate for the member.
  • Problem solve quickly and accurately.
  • Back up to Loan Operations as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Have thorough knowledge of credit union products and services to support members and co-workers to answer questions and to resolve issues.

  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.


High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • Demonstrated ability to understand cause and affect relationships.
  • Willing to change priorities to meet changing demands.
  • Well versed in all retail products and services.
  • Understands how product or service meets member satisfaction levels.
  • Able to overcome objections and gain commitment.
  • Ability to develop processes and to organize information.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer with a high level of proficiency in such software applications as word processing and spreadsheets.  Ability to utilize other technological resources such as the Internet and e-mail. 
  • Experience in an Operations support group within a bank and/or credit union with a minimum of two years’ experience.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
