Internal Audit is a global organization of nearly 2000 professionals covering Citi's global businesses and service to clients and customers in over 160 countries. Citi's Internal Audit division provides independent assessments of the company's governance, risk management, ethics and culture, and the internal control environment for key stakeholders including the Board of Directors, senior management and Citi's numerous regulators globally. This role provides the Internal Audit organization with strategic direction in the establishment of risk-based auditing and reporting methodologies, organization design, and effective positioning of the function to ensure provision of independent assurance which is consistent and aligned with Citigroup and Citibank business objectives, and to ensure the timely delivery of high quality, value added assurance and audit reports which meet the requirements of the Boards of Citigroup and Citibank, their affiliates, and of Citi's respective regulators, globally. This role will lead and develop a team of approximately 320 auditors globally, and will be responsible for building and managing relationships with senior technology and business management. In addition, this role will work closely with regional Audit Management and global Product/Functions Audit Management to ensure delivery of a plan of work that provides assurance over the key risks for technology and systems processes world-wide. Critical thinking is a key requirement of the role, as themes related to risks and issues across the organization will be identified and presented to key stakeholders, such as senior management, the Audit Committee, regulators and external audit functions. The position requires a wide ranging, yet detailed knowledge of technology and how to audit technology, as well as a strong understanding of the fundamental risks associated with a large consumer and investment bank.
