Job Description:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for daily accounts receivables, accounts payables, purchasing, bookkeeping and reconciling accounts, sales tax and financial reporting including P&L, Balance sheet, cash flow and production tracking for the company utilizing QuickBooks Pro. The accounting manager works directly with the management, operations and sales teams as well as vendors and clients. We are seeking career-oriented individuals with a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar accounting role. Candidates must be customer oriented, with a positive attitude, initiative and have a passion for the success of the organization. The individual must be self-motivated, organized and capable of working independently in a fast paced environment. Candidates must be fluent in working with QuickBooks; accrual based accounting methods and inventory management. Individual must have the ability to multitask under pressure and meet deadlines. Candidate should also have excellent working knowledge of office procedures and provide efficient support to multiple staff members. Responsibilities include: Responsible for Daily accounts receivables (AR)- Creating payment requests and sending to clients in accordance with project milestones. Invoice/RFP creation for clients daily Processing check and credit card payments, creating regular bank deposits record and file receipts accordingly. Create new purchase orders for vendors, shipment tracking and purchasing acknowledgement for orders fulfilled. Maintain strong relationships with vendors and good communication. Responsible for Accounts Payable (AP) - Daily payments to vendors for orders and standard business operating expenses. Processing of incoming bills and creating checks for payment accordingly Bookkeeping and reconciling of all accounts. Producing financial reports for upper management. Provide month and year end QuickBooks reports with all data for tax returns. Follow company standard operating procedure for accounting on projects from start to completion in QuickBooks. Assist with review of administrative procedures and development of systems to assure compliance by all staff. Responsible for purchasing of equipment on all new projects. Responsible for internal communication relating to status of client accounting and equipment purchases. Assist with research and cost comparisons between vendors to maintain cost effectiveness and quality. General office duties such as answering phones, typing, flow of correspondence, filing etc. Maintain and update databases as needed. Organize of client and project related information in QuickBooks. This is required to be done daily. Qualifications Required: Minimum of 5 years in an accounting manager or similar role with full responsibility of company accounts, daily bookkeeping, purchasing and office management support experienceMust have experience in accrual-based accounting and inventory management with ability to generate reports and present to management.Excellent organizational skills (oral and written) and the ability to excel at details, multi-tasking and working under pressure.Must have good experience and skilled in the use of software programs such as QuickBooks, MAC, Outlook, MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Education/Experience:Candidates must have a Bachelors Degree in accounting or equivalentIndustry Certification and QuickBooks training a plus.
