Job Description:

Seeking a General Manager of very successful Boutique Hotel. Responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service, hands on training and leadership, community involvement, maximize revenues and ensure profitability. Responsible for the daily operation of the hotel, including the safety and protection of the asset as well as the staff. Ensures guest satisfaction, develops and retains a strong management and hourly team. Qualified candidates will have at least 3 years' experience as a General Manager with an understanding of corporate and leisure transient guests. Prior Hotel General Manager experience critical. Excellent communication skills, ability to motivate associates at all levels. Has a full understanding of the sales department; has analysis and problem-solving skills; knowledge of EEO policy, harassment-free environment. This position reports to the Vice President of Operations. Daily/weekly/monthly/yearly responsibilities include: •Daily/weekly/monthly monitoring of the rates and occupancy levels of the hotel; implementing changes as needed and within stated guidelines. •Ensures all standards are kept current. •Provides both formal and informal feedback to the staff, including yearly reviews. •Actively participates with the Director of Sales, including inside and outside sales calls. •Approves all staff schedules, ensuring they are within budgeted guidelines while ensuring guest service and quality control.
