Job Description:

POP Displays USA is seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer Manager to join our team. The Manufacturing Engineer Manager will develop manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency. Champion and foster the culture of Kaizen (Continuous Improvement), Lean Manufacturing, safety and provide training to operators, line leads, and supervisors. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Other duties may be assigned: ?? Evaluates manufacturing processes, suggest recommendations on the manufacturing and quality processes, and types of manufacturing methods to be adopted by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, molding, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment and material vendors; soliciting observations and feedback from operators. ?? Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout. ?? Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements. ?? Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished goods product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes. ?? Collaborate with Design Engineering to optimize manufacturability of new and current products/projects. ?? Create Bills of Material, Labor Routings, Job Instructions and production control documents. ?? Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. ?? Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests. ?? Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service. ?? Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. ACCOUNTABILITY:Ensure complete start-to-end planning, direction and co-ordination of all the manufacturing processes to be adopted and signed-off by department manager.Ensure 100% accurate BOMs, Routings and COGS for assigned projects in ERP systemEnsure line layouts meet or exceed established Takt times and quality standardsImplement at least one kaizen event per quarter JOB REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering EXPERIENCE: Ten years in the manufacturing industry, demonstrating good working knowledge of ERP systems, Supply Chain Management and Production Control Systems 1. A minimum of seven years hands on experience in assembly trouble shooting and process improvement. 2. A minimum of five years experience as a manager of a low volume high mix assembly operation. 3. Demonstrated ability to develop BOMs, Routings and Job Instructions. 4. Technical knowledge of the operation of Hot Stamping, Silk Screening, Riveting and Sonic Welding machines 5. Demonstrated success related to the development and implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles LANGUAGE SKILLS:Able to communicate in English at a technical and general intercompany and interdepartmental business level, in both verbal and written correspondence.Able to write reports, business correspondence and document basic procedures. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Able to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, algebra, trigonometry, basic logic functions and basic accounting.Able to develop expense budgets REASONING ABILITY:Able to make generalizations, evaluations or decisions without immediate supervision. Able to recognize potential hazards and observe appropriate precautions. Able to make independent decisions or judgments based on sensory data or known guidelines. Able to accept and carry out responsibility for direction, control and planning.Able to set realistic goals or make plans independently of others. Able to negotiate. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: . Able to travel both domestically and internationally.
