Salary: $105,000 - $110,000

Our client is a World leader in the manufacture of a variety of widely used consumer products. Due to their continued growth we are conducting a search to locate an Electrical Controls Engineer for their Bridgeport, CT area high volume, high speed manufacturing facility. Specifically this individual will be responsible for: 

  • Provide electrical Controls design engineering expertise in order to optimize the process for a high volume high speed manufacturing and packaging operation
  • Streamline existing process in order to improve efficiency, quality and to reduce cost
  • Lead Project teams including evaluating and interfacing with suppliers and vendors
  • Develop electrical specifications for high speed machinery including Allen Bradley PLCs
  • Design control systems for prototype high speed manufacturing equipment including control panel design and programming
  • Constructs electrical schematic packages by laying out I/O, designing magnetic circuits, fusing, control panels, bill of materials and cable layouts.
  • Program and troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLCs, Servos, HMI and other control systems including networking, device communications and discrete components
  • Provide training to electronic technicians for all new control systems
Education and Experience Required: 
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Electronics Engineering and 5 plus years of Control Systems engineering of high speed high volume machinery
  • Allen Bradley PLC Controls experience with programming and troubleshooting
  • Control Systems design for high speed machinery
  • Experience in new and redesign and installation of machinery Controls and solve machinery Control Systems problems
  • Prefer experience with networking and device communications
  • Working knowledge of CAD systems
