Job Description:

TITLE: RESIDENTIAL LENDING COORDINATOR POSITION SUMMARY: Provides administrative support to the Residential Lending department and Division Head; provides information to loan applicants; provides rate quotes and product information for internal and external customers. LOCATION: Stamford, CT RESPONSIBILITIES:Receives, screens and directs telephone calls for Residential Lending team; takes and relays messages; informs operators of names and location of department staff; provides assistance.Receives and sends faxes; opens and distributes mail.Greets and directs visitors, ensures timely communication between customers and originators.Trains newly hired originators on software. Sets up loan manuals, rate sheet distribution contact sheets and application packages.Provides information to potential mortgage applicants, including product availability and program parameters. Quotes mortgage interest rates and calculates payments. Refers customers to origination or counselor as required.Registered as required under the SAFE (Safe and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing) ActUpdates originators via telephone, mail or fax with changes or additions. Collects, sorts and distributes income customer paperwork. Coordinates and provides data for Marketing materials related to Residential Lending.Coordinates customer appointments for SVPDistributes product information and applications to walk-in customers and mail applications packages to phone-in customers.Supports attorney and real estate professionals with documents and information necessary to complete various loan requirements.lnput new loan requests onto the automated loan processing system; pulls credit reports and other necessary background material; packages the loan in accordance to established terms - takes mortgage applications as required.Coordinates logistical arrangements for First Time Home Buyer Seminars, including guest speakers, refreshments, room, equipment setup, registration of participants, etc. Provides on-site assistance as needed. Prepares and distributes letters of acknowledgment; coordinates travel arrangements as required.Prepares and codes all billing accounts for Residential Lending weekly; Prepares attorney reference letters and customer pre-qualifications as needed.Establishes, maintains and updates area files, including loan, mortgage origination, collateral and customer/prospect files. Sorts and files materials by subject; cross references as necessary. Locates retrieves and replaces materials as needed. REQUIRED SKILLS: Proficiency with MS Office and residential lending/banking systems (Mortgagebot / Winmort).Must have superior editing and proofreading skills.A familiarity with residential real estate terminology and Fannie Mae and general underwriting guidelines.Must have ability to multi-task and work independently.Registered as required under the SAFE (Safe and Fair Enforcement) Act. REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: MUST HAVE 2-5 years experience in a residential lending loan admin/coordinator role IN CONNECTICUT.Bachelor's degree preferred; would consider associate's with residential loan experience IN CONNECTICUT.
