Located in Staten Island and overlooking the Manhattan skyline,
Wagner College is a private, non-sectarian 80% residential college
of 1800 traditional-aged undergraduates and 300 graduate students
in selected professional programs. The college has been widely

The Department of Biological Sciences seeks a tenure-track
Assistant Professor for the 2017 - 2018 academic year. Candidates
must have expertise in microbiology as well as a strong background
in biochemistry. The successful candidate must have a completed
Ph.D. by the start of the position. The individual will teach
undergraduate and graduate courses in microbiology, as well as
undergraduate biochemistry for the Department of Chemistry and
Physics. Research complementing the needs of the department and
involving undergraduates and microbiology graduate students is
expected. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in
microbial ecology or applied microbiology as well as those with
experience teaching at a liberal arts college.
